Summary: The People & Culture Manager will play a pivotal role in the People Operations team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, acting as a trusted business partner to key stakeholders. This position involves providing strategic HR advice, managing payroll and benefits, and driving HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement and performance. The role requires a proactive approach to addressing people challenges and fostering a positive workplace culture. The successful candidate will also coach and develop people managers while analyzing data to inform HR strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational HR advice to people managers within the London & Southeast region.
  • Support Directors and managers with resources and knowledge for effective team management.
  • Identify and address people challenges to improve business efficiency.
  • Drive HR strategy and engagement with wider people initiatives.
  • Coach, train, and upskill people managers to enhance leadership capabilities.
  • Review and analyze people data to recommend solutions for performance and retention improvements.
  • Manage UK payroll processes and benefits schemes.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Handle employee relations casework, including dispute resolutions and performance management.
  • Review HR policies and processes, implementing necessary changes.
  • Support change management processes as required.
  • Drive reward & recognition and wellbeing initiatives to foster a positive culture.

Key Skills:

  • CIPD level 5 or 7 qualification or equivalent experience in HR.
  • Experience in managing payroll and providing HR advice to professional client groups.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and solve problems.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and recommend solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in a busy HR environment.
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and practical experience.
  • Proactive, self-motivated with a service-oriented mentality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
