About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Working as part of a collaborative People team, you will provide high-quality HR advisory support across a broad range of people matters, partnering with managers and stakeholders to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
This role offers a mix of employee relations, people operations, organisational change support, and HR project work within a complex, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted first point of contact for managers on employee-related matters.
- Manage employee relations cases from end to end, including:
- Disciplinary
- Grievance
- Performance management
- Capability
- Absence management
- Long-term sickness
- Provide advice on UK employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.
- Support leaders through organisational change activities, restructures and business transformation initiatives.
- Liaise with HR Operations and Shared Services teams to ensure the accurate processing of employee data and people transactions.
- Maintain organisational structures, workforce changes and employee records within Workday.
- Support employee life cycle activities including onboarding, contractual changes, promotions, transfers and offboarding.
- Assist with annual people processes including performance reviews, talent planning and compensation activities.
- Produce HR reports, people analytics and case documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the People function.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the UK and wider international teams where required.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience in an HR Advisor, People Advisor or People & Culture Advisor role.
Strong employee relations experience with the ability to independently manage complex cases.
Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Strong hands-on experience with Workday.
Experience coaching and advising managers on people-related matters.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working within a fast-paced, Matrix organisation.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
- CIPD qualification or equivalent.
- Experience supporting organisational change and restructuring activities.
- Experience working within a multi-site or international business environment.
