The role
You'll be the go-to People Advisor for managers across the group.
You'll guide them through disciplinaries, grievances, capability cases and consultations, with a real focus on resolving issues early and restoratively wherever possible.
You'll coach managers to apply policy consistently, spot and manage risk, and know when a case needs escalating.
Reporting to the Group Head of People, you'll also help shape consistent people principles across the business and get involved in wider projects.
- Designing and delivering training that builds genuine management capability.
- Using absence, turnover and exit data to spot trends and drive improvements.
- Supporting onboarding and induction for new managers.
- Keeping a visible presence on site, building trust with operational teams.
About you
- At least three years' HR experience with a strong employee relations focus, ideally in a multi-site organisation.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, or working towards Level 7.
- Experience of designing and delivering people-related training.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice, and the confidence to advise at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, well organised, and comfortable juggling competing priorities.
Why apply?
This is a chance to make a visible impact in a business that values practical, pragmatic HR.
You'll have variety, autonomy and be working with a great team.
Although experience in construction or manufacturing could be beneficial, this could also be an ideal opportunity for someone from a different sector who wants to use their Employee Relations experience in a new environment and broaden their skill set.
