We have an exciting opportunity to join our team working across our Benefits business unit including Employee Benefits and Rail Administration on a fixed term contract based in the Darlington office (hybrid working).

The role

Employee Benefits and Rail Administration are areas that are responsible for offering administration, communications and engagement services to the Railways pension schemes. We support hybrid and flexible working for this role. Our teams are often the first point of contact in the life cycle of the pension journey and look after the day-to-day scheme administration needs of our members and pride ourselves on delivering excellent quality of service. These roles play an integral part in supporting our purpose to secure our members future, without these outstanding teams we wouldn’t be the successful organisation we are today. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.

The person

We are looking for individuals who are customer focused and thrive in working in a fast paced evolving environment. You will be passionate about doing a good job and be quality focused in your approach whilst being able to work to deadlines. The ability to interact in both a professional and compassionate way through written and verbal communication is essential as you will need to communicate with both colleagues and members through various channels including telephone, email and post. Pension administration experience is essential, in particular defined contributions. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years pension knowledge which we can support you with in building on this knowledge through training and qualifications during your career with Railpen.
