Summary: The PCB Quality Engineer role involves ensuring that all printed circuit boards and assemblies meet quality standards for a leading manufacturer in the North West. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and audit PCBs (bare and assembled) to IPC standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610).
- Monitor quality metrics, yields, and defect trends; lead improvement initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA actions.
- Develop and maintain quality procedures for PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and related standards.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years in PCB manufacturing, assembly, or electronics quality.
- Strong knowledge of IPC standards and quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
- Skilled in inspection, RCA, and statistical quality tools.
- Experience with PCB design software (e.g., Altium) and reliability testing.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork.
