Summary: The PCB Designer role is primarily remote and involves working with a leading Defence organization in Broad Oak. The position requires expertise in PCB design techniques and proficiency with the Cadence Allegro toolset. The contract is initially for four months and classified as inside IR35. The role demands a strong understanding of complex PCB designs and adherence to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design large, complex, multi-layer, multi-substrate PCBs.
  • Utilize Cadence Allegro toolset for PCB design.
  • Implement controlled impedance, high-speed digital, RF, mixed signal, high current, and large FPGA technologies.
  • Apply blind, buried, and filled via techniques in designs.
  • Work with flexible PCB and interconnecting assemblies.
  • Collaborate with complex mechanical profiles to meet enclosure, structural, thermal, and screening requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and IPC-610 standards.
  • Communicate complex technical information effectively.

Key Skills:

  • Proficient experience with Cadence Allegro toolset.
  • Knowledge of PCB design techniques for complex multi-layer PCBs.
  • Experience with controlled impedance and high-speed digital designs.
  • Understanding of RF, mixed signal, high current, and FPGA technologies.
  • Ability to work with flexible PCB designs.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical information.
  • HND or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.

Salary (Rate): £69.65
