Summary: The PC Support Specialist role involves providing technical support and ensuring adherence to network and system architecture best practices within the oil and gas industry. The position requires coordination with various company groups and participation in projects, alongside supporting user help desk requests and managing network outages. The role includes 40% travel to district and field offices, with a vehicle provided for this purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document and ensure network and system architecture best practices are followed.
  • Coordinate with other groups in the company (local operations, corporate, construction I&E, etc.) on projects, support, and standardization.
  • Participate in projects to ensure on-time completion utilizing in-house staff and vendors when necessary.
  • Assist in supporting Denbury's iWAN network, security appliances, and field communications equipment.
  • Support the business by solving user-submitted help desk requests.
  • Participate in the network outage rotation.

Key Skills:

  • 3-5 years experience in supporting Microsoft desktop and server environments.
  • 3-5 years experience with configuration and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipment.
  • Experience with point-to-point and point to multi-point wireless technology.
  • Familiar with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF.
  • Experience with network security concepts and design.
  • Experience with industrial radio networks/equipment and connecting SCADA hardware (RTU, PLC, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to explain and communicate problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users while being part of and working on a remote team.
  • Travel required 40% out of town.
