Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Payroll Manager in delivering a high-volume, compliant monthly payroll service for approximately 15,000 employees across multiple employers.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity within the SAP payroll system, ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal controls.
- Lead on user acceptance testing and collaborate with system teams to implement configuration changes and software updates.
- Produce and reconcile payroll reports, ensuring timely statutory submissions including P45s, P60s, RTI, pension returns, and BACS payments.
- Provide expert payroll advice and guidance to stakeholders, support team members with complex queries, and deputise for the Payroll Manager when required.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in high-volume payroll processing within a complex organisation.
- Strong technical understanding of payroll systems, ideally including SAP, and confidence in system testing and troubleshooting.
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory reporting (e.g. RTI, P60s, pensions), and HMRC regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and provide expert payroll advice to a wide range of stakeholders.
