Summary: The Finance Assistant - Payroll is tasked with managing the monthly payroll process for approximately 70 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance in collaboration with HR and outsourced payroll providers. This role involves data input, payroll calculations, and reporting, while also serving as a liaison between various departments. The position is a 6-month contract starting in December.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end payroll operations for UK and international colleagues.
- Input payroll data into relevant outsourced payroll provider systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Work with Corporate HR to confirm payroll populations and terms & conditions, ensuring correct reflection in provider inputs.
- Coordinate with outsourced providers for payroll calculations, including salary payments, deductions, contributions, and tax obligations.
- Prepare clear payroll summary reports for review by key stakeholders.
- Facilitate and gather payroll approvals from leaders prior to final submission and processing.
- Serve as a key point of contact between HR, Finance, and outsourced payroll providers, ensuring efficient resolution of payroll queries.
- Support the wider Finance team with other financial administration tasks as required.

The Finance Assistant - Payroll is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the monthly payroll process for approximately 70 employees, primarily based in the UK with some based internationally. The role works closely with Corporate HR, outsourced payroll providers, and internal Finance colleagues to ensure payroll inputs, approvals, reporting, and payments are delivered smoothly and compliantly.
Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end payroll operations for circa UK and international colleagues.
- Input payroll data into relevant outsourced payroll provider systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Work with Corporate HR to confirm payroll populations and terms & conditions, and ensure these are correctly reflected in provider inputs.
- Coordinate with outsourced providers who perform payroll calculations, including salary payments, deductions, contributions, and employee/employer tax obligations.
- Prepare clear payroll summary reports for review by key stakeholders.
- Facilitate and gather payroll approvals from leaders prior to final submission and processing.
- Serve as a key point of contact between HR, Finance, and outsourced payroll providers, ensuring efficient resolution of payroll queries.
- Support the wider Finance team with other financial administration tasks as required.
