Summary: The Payroll Manager role in Belfast is a maternity cover position responsible for managing the outsourced payroll contract for a group of three companies, encompassing 1000 staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the outsourced payroll contract for 1000 weekly and monthly staff across three companies.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and assist the finance team on payroll-related matters.
- Act as the key point of contact with the payroll provider and drive improvements in payroll processing and reporting.
- Oversee all payroll-related services internally, ensuring effective payroll controls and operational policies.
- Handle month-end reconciliations and produce payroll reports.
- Keep up to date with legislative changes and liaise with external agencies, including pension providers and HMRC.
Key Skills:
- Educated to GCSE level.
- 2 A-levels or 5 years' payroll experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a large complex payroll function.
- Experience with computerised payroll systems.
- Working knowledge of UK PAYE.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- CIPP qualification is an advantage.
- SAGE payroll qualification and SAGE 50 payroll experience are beneficial.
