Summary: The Payroll Consultant role involves supporting French payroll operations by reviewing processes, assessing capabilities, and providing expert recommendations. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders in Paris and senior team members to enhance payroll efficiency and compliance. The consultant will conduct analyses and deliver strategic insights within a 12-month engagement. Fluency in French and English is essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and analysing current payroll processes and systems in France, ensuring compliance and efficiency
  • Conducting a full AS-IS vs. TO-BE analysis, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders (including Katie and the HR/Payroll teams) to align payroll capability with business needs
  • Working with the two existing payroll team members in France, providing guidance and knowledge-sharing
  • Delivering a capability assessment within the first 6 months, with clear recommendations for the future
  • Advising on potential second-phase implementation projects
  • Communicating effectively with both French and English-speaking stakeholders, including leadership

Key Skills:

  • Strong track record as a Payroll Consultant with significant experience in French payroll
  • Ability to review, assess, and recommend process improvements
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
  • Able to partner with senior stakeholders and provide strategic advice, while engaging effectively with operational teams
  • Experience conducting AS-IS/TO-BE analysis in payroll
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

Rate: Up to €550 per day

Terms: 12-month engagement

I'm currently supporting my client with the hire of a seasoned Payroll Consultant to support their French payroll operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in reviewing current processes, assessing capability, and providing expert recommendations to ensure payroll is running as it should. You'll be working closely with stakeholders in Paris and partnering with senior team members to provide insight and strategic guidance.
