Summary: The Payroll Consultant role is a temporary position based in London, requiring expertise in processing end-to-end payroll for the UK and Ireland, along with support for US payroll implementation. The consultant will engage in a global payroll transformation program, ensuring compliance and driving process improvements. This position is hybrid and offers a competitive daily rate of up to £600. The contract duration is 8 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end UK & Irish payroll.
- Support the delivery of a global payroll transformation programme across the US and APAC regions.
- Lead payroll process reviews and drive standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and third-party payroll providers to implement new payroll processes.
- Coordinate payroll transition activities, including testing and go-live support.
- Ensure payroll compliance with local legislative requirements across US jurisdictions.
- Develop and maintain payroll controls, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and key internal stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on payroll experience across the UK, Ireland, and the US.
- Global payroll transformation exposure.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a renowned retailer, who are seeking a Payroll Consultant on a 8 month contract basis. You will be processing end to end UK & Irish payroll, while assisting with the implementation of US payroll.
The Payroll Consultant will have the following skills:
- Experience of processing end to end UK & Irish payroll
- Support the delivery of a global payroll transformation programme across the US and APAC regions, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
- Lead payroll process reviews, driving standardisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and third party payroll providers to implement new payroll processes and operating models.
- Coordinate payroll transition activities, including testing, parallel runs and go-live support.
- Ensure payroll compliance with local legislative requirements across US jurisdictions.
- Develop and maintain payroll controls, process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and key internal stakeholders to support service excellence.
