Summary: The Payroll Administrator role involves managing a client payroll portfolio with a focus on accuracy and timely processing within a collaborative payroll team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payrolls for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Handle PAYE/NIC calculations and BACS payments
  • Manage payroll queries from clients and internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding PAYE matters
  • Support the setup of new PAYE schemes and payroll systems
  • Maintain accurate records and workflow updates within payroll systems
  • Assist with process improvements and ad hoc payroll tasks

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy or bureau environment
  • Strong understanding of auto-enrolment and payroll legislation
  • Confident in manual payroll calculations (PAYE/NIC)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • Excellent communication and Excel skills
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g. Paycircle) is advantageous

Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Salary: £37,000

Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 home; initial 5 days in office for onboarding

Contract: 12-month FTC

Location: Central London

This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join a collaborative and supportive payroll team, gaining exposure to a varied client base while managing payrolls end-to-end.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of your own client payroll portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely processing while supporting senior team members where required. This is a hands-on role offering strong development opportunities within a fast-paced environment.
