Summary: The Payroll Administrator role is a temporary position requiring immediate start, focused on managing payroll processes during a period of significant change. Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing weekly and monthly employee payroll with full accuracy and care
  • Managing timesheets, expenses, bonuses, overtime, pensions, and deductions
  • Handling sick pay, maternity/paternity leave, and other statutory calculations
  • Investigating and resolving payroll queries with employees and third parties
  • Liaising with HMRC, courts, and benefits agencies when needed
  • Staying up to date with tax codes, auto-enrolment, and payroll compliance
  • Supporting with internal systems and record-keeping
  • Working alongside HR and site teams to ensure smooth operations

Key Skills:

  • Solid, practical payroll experience (including manual calculations)
  • Confidence with Excel
  • Ability to handle a high-volume, high-change environment
  • Flexibility and efficiency, especially early in the week

Payroll Administrator (Temporary – Immediate Start)

Hybrid (2–3 days in office)

Flexible part-time or full-time hours considered

£29,320 pro rata

3-month contract (until end of September/October)

Are you a hands-on payroll pro who can dive in and bring calm to chaos? This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid payroll experience to step in during a period of big change.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Processing weekly and monthly employee payroll with full accuracy and care
  • Managing timesheets, expenses, bonuses, overtime, pensions, and deductions
  • Handling sick pay, maternity/paternity leave, and other statutory calculations
  • Investigating and resolving payroll queries with employees and third parties
