ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll:Coordinate payroll inputs and support payroll submissions for the UK.
Complete payroll input, output and variance reconciliations, investigating discrepancies where required.
Prepare payroll journals and supporting documentation for review and approval.
Respond promptly to payroll queries from employees, HR, Finance and external providers.
Prepare reports, reconciliations and documentation for internal and external audit requirements.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant controls, policies and procedures.
Benefits and share schemes:Support the administration of the Flexible Benefits programme, including new-joiner enrolments and monthly processing.
Reconcile pension contributions against provider invoices and direct debits.
Prepare management information for benefit providers within agreed deadlines.
Support the processing and reconciliation of benefit provider invoices.
Maintain accurate records for Season Ticket Loans and other employee loans.
Support the administration of employee share schemes and ensure payroll reporting requirements are accurately communicated and processed.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in payroll administration, ideally UK payroll.
- Experience working with a third-party payroll provider.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, formulas, data analysis and reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective organisation, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
- The ability to handle confidential payroll, benefits and employee information with discretion.
- Experience with HR Information Systems, multi-country payroll, payroll and HR management information, employee benefits or pension schemes would be desirable.
