Summary: We are looking for a Payments/Financial Crime Architect to lead the design and evolution of fraud and financial crime solutions in a regulated financial services environment. The candidate should possess extensive expertise in AML, KYC, and Sanctions Screening, focusing on creating scalable and compliant architectures. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance fraud prevention measures. The ideal candidate will also support platform modernization and technology transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain architecture roadmaps for Fraud and Financial Crime platforms.
- Lead solution design and governance for AML, KYC, and Sanctions Screening systems.
- Design architectures supporting customer onboarding, transaction monitoring, screening, and investigations.
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Integrate financial crime platforms with customer data repositories, payment systems, and case management tools.
- Design data flows, monitoring frameworks, and reporting solutions for fraud and financial crime detection.
- Support platform modernisation and technology transformation initiatives.
- Produce architecture documentation, standards, and governance artefacts.
- Collaborate with data teams to improve data quality, enrichment, and analytical capabilities.
- Support incident investigations and remediation activities when required.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of Architecture experience within Banking or Financial Services.
- Strong expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Sanctions Screening.
- Experience designing and integrating Financial Crime platforms and controls.
- Strong knowledge of customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions compliance, and regulatory reporting.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and integration architectures.
- Understanding of financial crime regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
