Summary: The Partnership Tax Accountant plays a crucial role within the Partnership Affairs team, focusing on partnership accounting and tax compliance for the firm. This position involves collaboration with external tax advisors and internal teams to ensure accurate tax computations and reporting for partners. The role requires a strong understanding of tax legislation and the ability to manage personal tax reserves effectively. The accountant will also provide insights on tax liabilities and support the firm's board on financial matters related to partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of timely and accurate entity level tax computations for optimal tax efficiency.
  • Deliver a comprehensive system for calculating, maintaining, and reporting personal tax reserves.
  • Collaborate with the Partnership Accounting team on applying tax reserves to partner accounts.
  • Prepare tax liability illustrations and projections for joiner and leaver scenarios.
  • Provide regular data on cash impacts of upcoming tax liabilities for reporting purposes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on tax legislation and advise on related queries.
  • Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities.
  • Assist with ad-hoc tax-related tasks as required.

Key Skills:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CTA/ATT qualified with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in LLP and personal tax compliance in a partnership environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to develop client relationships and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive data.
