Key Responsibilities
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Updating the payroll database and time management system with starter and leaver information
- Processing Tax, NI, SSP and SMP payments and deductions
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee personnel and payroll records
- Responding to payroll, pay and attendance queries from colleagues
- Ensuring payroll information is accurate, up to date and compliant
- Supporting the wider Payroll/HR function as required
About You
- A minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience
- Strong practical payroll knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills – essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
- The ability to work independently, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
- Experience of Sage 50 would be beneficial
The Package
- Salary: £30,000–£35,000 FTE, depending on experience
- Hours: Approximately 3 days per week, with flexibility around working hours
- Location: Knutsford, Cheshire
- Parking: Free on-site parking
- Contract: Temporary initially, with the opportunity to become permanent quickly
