About Us
We believe communication is the most human thing we do — and in an age of AI and constant change, it's also our greatest advantage.
For 18 years, London Speech Workshop has helped thousands of people speak with confidence, authenticity, and impact, using our proprietary Serlin Method™ to blend psychology, neuroscience, and performance training into real, lasting transformation.
We work across B2B (corporate programmes) and B2C (individual coaching), and we're now entering an exciting growth phase across both.
We're a small, warm, fiercely values-led team — and we do meaningful work, properly.
The Role
This is a rare chance to own the full finance function of a fast-growing, founder-led business — not just keep the books, but genuinely shape how we grow.
You'll work closely with our founder and leadership team, moving fluidly between hands-on detail and strategic insight, turning numbers into the decisions that take us from a great business into a category-defining one.
Working Setup
2.5–3 days per week (flexible)
Remote-first
One full day in our Farringdon office every fortnight (or more if you wish on a Tuesday or Thursday)
What You'll Own
- Financial Operations & Compliance
- Day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero across B2B and B2C; payroll (including pensions and auto-enrolment), credit control and invoicing, bank reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and liaison with external accountants on VAT and year-end.
- Reporting & Cashflow
- Monthly management accounts and insight reporting, cashflow forecasting, annual budgets, and variance reporting — giving the leadership team clear visibility on cash position, risk, and liabilities.
- Commercial Insight & Modelling
- Analyse B2C performance (pricing, discounting, utilisation) and support B2B commercial models (retainers, larger contracts).
- Build financial models for coach capacity and hiring decisions, and track key metrics like customer lifetime value, cost of sales, and utilisation.
- Help design coach incentive and bonus structures.
- Cost & Efficiency
- Review the cost base, flag inefficiencies, and explore automation and AI opportunities to keep operations lean.
- We're a lean team that uses AI tools day-to-day, and we'd love someone who'll use them to cut out manual work and free up more time for the analysis and insight that actually moves the business forward.
