ELECTRIC SHEEPEVENTS is a creative experiential production company specialising in high-impact activations, PR stunts and installations for the entertainment and film/TV industries.

We’re looking for an organised, detail-focused Part-Time AAT Bookkeeper & Office Administrator to take ownership of our day-to-day bookkeeping and help keep our Watford office running smoothly.

This is an office-based role in Watford, so please only apply if you live locally to Watford or can travel easily to the office with a short commute. Our office hours are 9.30am–6.00pm, although there is flexibility around how the 2–3 working days and hours are arranged.

The role is approximately 60% bookkeeping/finance administration and 40% office administration.

You’ll work primarily in Xero, alongside Pleo and Apron, ensuring supplier invoices, expenses and receipts are accurately recorded and allocated to individual projects. Our external accountants will continue to handle final VAT, payroll, tax and statutory submissions.

This could suit someone developing their career through AAT, an experienced bookkeeper seeking a long-term part-time role, or someone returning to work after a career break.

Bookkeeping & Finance

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records in Xero
  • Process purchase invoices and raise sales invoices where required
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and Pleo transactions
  • Match receipts and supporting documentation and chase missing information
  • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers and reconcile supplier statements
  • Assist with credit control and prepare supplier payment runs
  • Provide accurate records and documentation to our external accountants
  • Maintain organised digital financial records

Project Accounting

A key part of the role is ensuring costs are accurately attributed to individual client projects.

  • Allocate supplier invoices, purchases and expenses to the correct project/job
  • Check project coding and resolve unclear information with producers and directors
  • Maintain accurate project expenditure records
  • Help management review actual project costs against budgets and assess profitability

Office Administration

  • Support the day-to-day running of the Watford office
  • Manage general emails, post, booking couriers and deliveries
  • Order stationery and office supplies
  • Maintain organised records, shared folders and documentation
  • Assist with travel, accommodation and other bookings
  • Support freelancer/new-starter paperwork and general administration
  • Provide administrative support to the directors and wider team
  • Work on administrative elements of live projects

Essential

  • Practical bookkeeping/accounts experience
  • Experience using Xero
  • Confident using spreadsheets, particularly Google Sheets
  • Excellent accuracy, attention to detail and organisation
  • Comfortable chasing colleagues and suppliers for missing financial information
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of routine tasks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

You may be AAT qualified, currently studying towards AAT, qualified through experience, or returning to bookkeeping after a career break.

Desirable

  • AAT Level 2, 3 or 4 qualification
  • Experience with Pleo and/or Apron
  • Experience within a project-based business
  • Experience allocating expenditure to projects, jobs or cost centres
  • Events, film/TV, creative, production or agency experience
  • Office administration experience
  • Full UK driving licence

Industry experience is useful but not essential. Strong bookkeeping fundamentals, organisation and willingness to learn are more important.
