Summary: The Parking Appeals Officer is responsible for managing parking appeals and providing a responsive service to users of the parking service. Key duties include handling correspondence, appeals, permits, and complaints, as well as representing the client at adjudications. The role requires strong communication skills and a minimum of six months of experience in parking appeals. The officer will work within a team to ensure efficient service delivery and customer care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer interface in parking services, including handling correspondence, appeals, permits, and complaints.
- Represent the client at adjudication and external functions such as seminars and working groups.
- Report to the team leader on cases, appeals win rates, and issues with computerized systems.
- Make decisions on accepting or rejecting appeals based on Traffic and Parking Legislation.
- Suggest improvements for service delivery and efficiency.
- Assist the team leader with reconciling payments and resolving errors.
- Process payments and refunds received directly at the council.
- Deliver high levels of customer care as the first point of contact for complex cases.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in parking appeals.
