Summary: The Parking Appeals Officer is responsible for providing a responsive service in handling parking appeals, correspondence, and customer inquiries. This role involves representing the client at adjudications, managing financial transactions, and ensuring high levels of customer care. The officer will work closely with the team leader to improve service delivery and efficiency while maintaining accurate records and reporting on appeal outcomes. Previous experience in enforcement and a strong attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer interface in parking services including handling correspondence, appeals, permits, and complaints.
- Represent the client at adjudications and external functions such as seminars and working groups.
- Report to the team leader on cases, appeal win rates, and issues with computerized systems.
- Assist in reconciling payments and resolving errors related to financial transactions.
- Process payments and refunds received directly at the council.
- Deliver high levels of customer care, especially for complex cases.
- Make suggestions for improving procedures and service delivery.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous enforcement experience of 6 months or more.
