Location: London (Old Bailey), Birmingham or Edinburgh

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week on-site

Duration: Initial contract through to December 2026, with potential extension

Overview

We are seeking two experienced Contract Paralegals to join a high-profile regulatory change programme within a major financial services organisation.

Working within the Procurement and Supplier Management team, you will play a key role in reviewing and amending existing supplier and commercial contracts to ensure compliance with upcoming regulatory requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for commercially minded paralegals who are comfortable managing contract reviews at pace and can work independently while collaborating closely with legal, procurement and supplier management stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse existing commercial and supplier contracts against new regulatory requirements.
  • Identify contractual provisions requiring amendment and support the drafting of contract updates.
  • Work closely with the central contracts team to ensure timely remediation of impacted agreements.
  • Support procurement and supplier management stakeholders throughout the contract review process.
  • Maintain accurate records of contract reviews, amendments and project progress.
  • Escalate legal and commercial risks appropriately where identified.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced regulatory programme with challenging delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement and operational teams to support successful project outcomes.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Paralegal with a strong focus on commercial contracts.
  • Demonstrable experience reviewing, analysing and amending commercial agreements.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience working within a legal, procurement, contracts or supplier management environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Understanding of outsourcing arrangements and supplier contracting.
  • Exposure to regulatory change programmes or contract remediation projects.
  • Experience using AI-powered legal technology tools such as Leah or similar contract review platforms.
