Summary: Join BAE Systems as a Paint Quality Inspector, where you will contribute to the UK's National Defence programmes, including advanced submarine projects. This on-site position emphasizes hands-on experience and skill development in a critical environment. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, managing processes, and ensuring compliance with specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform paint inspections in line with relevant specification and ITP requirements
- Conduct conditions management and customer walk-round audits and developing and coaching others
- Develop, maintain and modify processes and procedures in assigned areas
- Lead the verification of all non-conformances
- Perform on the job process verification audit and surveillances
- Verification & approval of manufacturing record books
- Use calibrated measuring equipment to assess and measure acceptance of the product and record any non-conformance
- Ensuring effective dissemination across the inspection teams and cross-functionally where required
Key Skills:
- ICORR Level 2 or equivalent
- Able to access, have a clear understanding of and apply the local Management System documentation eg policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and COSHH assessments and processes and apply in their related area
- Full UK driving license
- Responsible for demonstrating SHE and responsible business behaviours
- Stakeholder Management experience
- NDE inspection experience (desirable)
- SAP experience (desirable)
- MPI certificate (desirable)
- CSWIP 3.0 (desirable)

Security Requirements: SC, ITAR & UK EYES ONLY
This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct and/or indirect access to ITAR Material which means there are restriction. If you are unsure as to whether you are eligible, please contact me to discuss.
This role also requires you to be a sole British national.
The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (ie the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
