Summary: The Paint Craft Auxiliary role involves supporting workshop technicians in the preparation and refinishing of equipment in high-spec operational environments. This position requires hands-on workshop experience and a commitment to quality and safety. The role is fully onsite in Stafford and is offered as a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will assist in various tasks, including maintaining the workshop and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean, organised workshop environment
  • Monthly toolbox checks and consumables stock control
  • Carrying out Before-Use Inspections (BUI) and cleaning machinery/tooling
  • Managing deliveries, stores, and associated paperwork
  • Supporting urgent despatch requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal procedures
  • Reading and following risk assessments and process documentation

Key Skills:

  • Basic English and Mathematics
  • Experience using hand tools in a workshop or trade environment
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Experience preparing different substrates (e.g., metal, wood, composites)

Salary (Rate): £20.52 hourly

We are currently recruiting for a Paint Craft Auxiliary to support workshop technicians in the preparation and refinishing of a wide range of equipment used in high-spec operational environments.

Stafford (Fully Onsite) 6-Month Contract £20.52 per hour (Umbrella) Monday to Friday

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on workshop or trade experience who takes pride in quality, safety, and attention to detail.

You will support technicians in preparing and refinishing equipment including mechanical components, woodwork, specialist equipment, and other technical assets.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining a clean, organised workshop environment
  • Monthly toolbox checks and consumables stock control
  • Carrying out Before-Use Inspections (BUI) and cleaning machinery/tooling
  • Managing deliveries, stores, and associated paperwork
  • Supporting urgent despatch requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal procedures

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Basic English and Mathematics
  • Experience using hand tools in a workshop or trade environment
