In this role, you'll manage a varied caseload including assessments, equipment provision, and adaptations (both minor and major) tailored to each child's unique needs. Working closely with social care colleagues and adult services, you'll help ensure a seamless transition for young people moving into adulthood. Your collaborative partnerships will extend to health professionals, education teams, housing services, the Dorset Accessible Homes Service, Integrated Equipment Service, and external specialists including builders and architects. Our Occupational Therapy team operates across two local offices: Dorchester (serving West and North Dorset Westport House, Wareham (serving East Dorset) About You: You're a qualified, experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist eager to specialise in supporting children with complex disabilities. You hold a BSc (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy, are HCPC registered, and bring a deep understanding of child development, disability impact, and family dynamics. You also have solid knowledge of safeguarding procedures, childcare legislation, and current best practices. Your excellent communication skills enable you to connect effectively with families, colleagues, and external partners.
