Summary: The PACS Technical Consultant role at GlobalLogic involves deploying, configuring, migrating, and supporting PACS solutions in clinical environments, ensuring integration with existing healthcare systems. The position requires expertise in medical imaging systems, DICOM, HL7, and healthcare IT workflows. This is a contract assignment lasting 9-12 months and is classified as inside IR35. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure PACS software, including storage, modality mappings, and data lifecycle management.
- Perform data migrations.
- Execute and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) using test scripts.
- Lead and support the go-live process, ensuring smooth operational transition.
- Create and maintain comprehensive solution documentation, ensuring accurate transition to service.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, radiology departments, and IT stakeholders to ensure customer success.
Key Skills:
- Experience with SQL and database administration, backups and recovery, tuning, preferably Oracle.
- Knowledge of XML, .Net, HTML, IIS, and SSL are desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server, preferably 2019.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, for example, Hyper-V and VMWare.
- Understanding of IT-related medical standards: DICOM, HL7, and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE).
- Demonstrated acumen for understanding applications implementation, network environments, and web technologies.
- Knowledge of storage solutions, SAN, NAS, RAID technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with strong oral and written English-language knowledge.
- Experience of working in a production environment against prescribed SLA’s.
- Previous experience implementing or supporting RIS and PACS is a huge plus, but not mandatory.
