P6 Planning Engineer

Summary: The P6 Planning Engineer role involves managing the Primavera P6 schedule for a significant green-field data-centre programme, requiring expertise in high-tech EPC projects. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three weeks of remote work from the UK and one week on-site in Nairobi each month. The role is outside IR35 and provides a competitive day rate, along with travel and accommodation expenses covered for the Nairobi rotation. Key Responsibilities:

• Own the Primavera P6 schedule for a >£300 m green-field data-centre programme.
• Build the baseline, drive look-aheads, and coordinate design, procurement & site teams.
• Provide clear progress reports, what-ifs, and risk analysis to UK leadership & Nairobi delivery heads.
• Shape planning best practices for a multi-cultural, world-class project team.

Key Skills:

• Proven P6 planning experience on data-centre, high-tech, or EPC “mega” projects (£100 m+).
• Ability to turn design intent & BIM data into fully-linked schedules.
• UK-based with the passport & willingness to spend 7-10 days a month in Kenya.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex schedules effectively.
