Summary: The P6 Planner role involves providing critical planning expertise for high-profile, complex programmes using Primavera P6. The position requires a technically skilled planner to support operational and long-range integrated programme schedules while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and security standards. The role includes conducting detailed schedule performance analysis and enhancing planning policies within an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) environment. The planner will work closely with the Planning Lead and stakeholders to deliver accurate planning and schedule forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate planning and schedule forecasting using Primavera P6 across complex projects.
  • Generate planning and EV (Earned Value) deliverables aligned with the agreed business rhythm.
  • Conduct detailed schedule performance analysis, including Schedule Performance Index (SPI) variance reporting.
  • Implement, monitor, and enhance planning policies, tools, and templates.
  • Support emergent project planning activities under the guidance of the Planning Lead.
  • Provide schedule guidance during Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) review and recommend structural improvements.
  • Ensure planning integrity and compliance with safety, quality, and security standards.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable expertise in Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, EVMS, and schedule analysis.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex schedule data effectively to stakeholders.
  • Experience working in secure, regulated environments.

Salary (Rate): £55.05/hour

Job Title: P6 Planner (Inside IR35) Hours/Days: 9-day fortnight - Mon-Thurs 8.25 hrs, Fri 8 hrs every other week -(3-4 days on-site weekly)
