Overhead Line Project Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Review contractor and consultant OHL designs, ensuring compliance with specifications and technical standards.
• Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines and manage engineering risks and opportunities.
• Act as the key point of contact for Overhead Line Engineering across project, commercial, programme and site meetings.
• Support engineering governance, quality and CDM requirements throughout project delivery.
• Work closely with Engineering and Project Managers to identify and mitigate technical and quality risks.

We are looking for

• Strong experience in overhead line development, design or specification, ideally at 132kV and above.
• Experience within a contractor, consultancy or client-side transmission environment.
• Technical degree or HND with relevant engineering experience.
• Familiarity with PLS-CADD would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
