The Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will initially work across Newcastle and the wider North East.
Your responsibilities will include: Inspecting, servicing and maintaining overhead cranes, hoists and jib cranes.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
Installing and supporting Crane of the Future technology.
Explaining completed work and technical recommendations to customers.
Identifying repairs, replacement parts and further work.
Offering industry leading services levels to all clients.
Training can be provided in specialist areas where necessary.
As the business grows, there will be opportunities to support projects across the UK and Europe. This will suit someone interested in broadening their technical and commercial experience while working with leading organisations.
About You
You should have strong overhead crane experience, an electrical engineering qualification and good electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
You Will Also Need A practical, safety-focused approach.
The confidence to work independently on customer sites.
Clear communication skills and a professional manner.
The ability to remain calm during breakdowns and urgent work.
An interest in new technology and a willingness to learn.
A full UK driving licence.
Technical ability is essential, but attitude and ambition are equally important.
