The role requires the ability to manage cross-functional supply chain teams, engage with senior commercial and operational leadership on supply chain strategy, drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance, and manage the response to supply chain disruption when it occurs. Contractors are brought in to cover vacancies in supply chain leadership, to manage specific supply chain improvement programmes, or to provide experienced supply chain leadership during a period of significant operational challenge or transformation.
Supply Chain Manager contractors are expected to combine broad supply chain operational expertise with strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading multidisciplinary supply chain teams across planning, procurement, and logistics is expected at this level, alongside the ability to design and implement supply chain metrics and KPI frameworks that drive performance improvement.
