Required experience
- Experience reviewing, assessing and documenting multi-site LAN, wireless and WAN environments, including device configurations, service dependencies etc.
- Practical hands-on experience supporting multi-site LAN, wireless and WAN environments.
- Strong practical experience with Cisco Meraki switching and wireless access points, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong practical experience with Cisco Nexus switching, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience reviewing existing LAN designs, identifying improvements and implementing approved redesigns to improve performance, scalability and supportability.
- Experience assessing wireless coverage and performance against operational requirements and implementing corrective improvements where required.
- Experience reviewing and validating WAN connectivity, identifying circuit or routing constraints and implementing approved connectivity changes.
- Hands-on experience deploying Palo Alto firewalls into live site environments.
- Strong understanding of Firewall configurations, routing and failover behaviour, with the ability to validate security and resilience arrangements.
- Experience supporting ISP or carrier migrations, including identifying and resolving blockers to transitions between connectivity providers.
- Experience identifying SIP voice, ISP-bound services, Legacy routing and other application dependencies that may affect WAN migrations.
Outside IR35 contract role - initially 3-4 days on site - candidate can be based near Birmingham/Coventry/Gloucester/Wolverhampton.
