Summary: The role of Outreach Tutor involves providing 1:1 support to children with complex needs on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. The position requires experienced tutors or teachers to deliver differentiated National Curriculum subjects during school hours. The contract is temporary, with flexible hours ranging from 1 to 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Candidates must have experience in teaching and managing behavior for students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated National Curriculum core subjects to students with complex needs.
- Implement exceptional behavior management strategies.
- Work face to face within the community during school hours.
- Support students with a range of needs including SEMH, ASC, MLD, and SpLD.
- Provide 1:1 tutoring tailored to individual student requirements.
Key Skills:
- Experience in teaching English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes from KS1 to KS5.
- QTS status or equivalent, or unqualified with two years of relevant teaching experience.
- Experience working with SEMH, ASD, EBD, and associated complex needs.
- Strong behavior management skills.
- Availability during school hours for up to 30 hours per week.
