Summary: The Outdoor Trials Technician role involves working outdoors at BAE's Hexham facility, conducting function testing of company stores at the Ridsdale Gun Range. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all equipment required for tests and trials are maintained to a high standard and suitable for the task.
• Use of lifting equipment including fork lift trucks.
• Completion of equipment records.
• Setting up, operation, and breaking down of test arenas.
• Providing test data to the Trials Engineer as part of a test report for the customer.
• Continuous improvement of the Ridsdale range test facilities and capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with SHE legislation and Business safe systems of work for self and others.
• Carry out training as required.
• Any other reasonable duties as required by the General Manager.

Key Skills:

• Prior outdoor work experience, ideally in a hands-on/heavily physical occupation.
• Experience working within a mechanical environment and mechanical skills.
• Robust nature for working outside in extreme temperatures.
• Prior Armed Forces experience is of particular interest.
• Team player in small teams.
• Prior use of lifting equipment, including forklift trucks, is highly beneficial.
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 is desirable.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and Teamcenter is desirable.
• Recognised Safety and Health Management qualification (e.g., IOSH) is desirable.
