OT Security Consultant

Summary: The OT Security Consultant role focuses on designing and implementing micro-segmentation policies based on Zero Trust principles, specifically for Operational Technology (OT) environments. The position requires expertise in managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Strata Cloud Manager, along with a strong understanding of OT security challenges. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to assess security postures and implement necessary measures to protect industrial control systems. Travel to onsite locations is required one day per week as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Micro-segmentation:
• Develop and implement micro-segmentation policies based on Zero Trust principles, focusing on limiting access to the minimum required for individual applications and devices.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) to enforce micro-segmentation policies.
• Utilize Palo Alto Networks' capabilities for identifying OT protocols and communications, establishing device inventories, and prioritizing assets for security measures.
• Operational Technology (OT) Security:
• Understand and apply security principles specific to OT environments, including the unique challenges of industrial control systems (ICS).
• Continuously assess the security posture of OT devices and applications, identifying vulnerabilities and potential threats.
• Work with stakeholders in OT environments to understand their specific needs and implement appropriate security measures.
• Strata Cloud Manager Proficiency:
• Ability to configure, manage, and monitor security policies within Strata Cloud Manager.
• Experience with Strata's IoT Security features for device segmentation, policy enforcement, and threat detection.
• Familiarity with Strata's AI-powered capabilities for automated policy analysis and remediation.
• Skills:
• Experience with Micro-segmentation:
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing micro-segmentation in various environments, including virtualized environments.
• Palo Alto Networks Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto Networks NGFW and related products (eg, PAN-OS, Panorama).
• Zero Trust Principles:
• Thorough understanding of Zero Trust principles and how they apply to OT security.
• OT Security Knowledge:
• Familiarity with OT protocols, security challenges.
• Demonstrated understanding of OT security principles, threats, and vulnerabilities, including knowledge of relevant standards like ISA/IEC 62443.
• Experience with security automation and orchestration:
• Knowledge of tools and techniques for automating security tasks and orchestrating security workflows.
• Experience with cloud-based security solutions:
• Familiarity with cloud-based security platforms and their integration with OT environments.
• Note: Travel: 1 day per week to onsite and need basis.
