Summary: My client is seeking an OT Automation Specialist with experience in OT Cyber Security to support an ongoing project in the West Midlands, UK. The role involves a mix of on-site and remote work, focusing on cyber security requirements within industrial network design. A strong background in electrical engineering and automation standards is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify cyber security requirements and integrate them into industrial network design.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and external parties to deliver necessary infrastructure and security levels.
  • Monitor site networks to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Work with Group Supply Chain Cyber specialists to develop solutions for addressing CVEs.
  • Support the development of IEC62443 Cyber Security Management.
  • Participate in the Cyber security and automation issue resolution team, including call-outs as needed.
  • Implement continuous improvement in Cyber security practices.
  • Liaise with site Engineering Specialists to ensure technical cyber security requirements are met.
  • Support networking issues within OT at sites and liaise with OEMs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with IT SOC and site teams to resolve security alerts.
  • Provide technical advice on implementation and industrial network configuration.
  • Design and implement industrial networks.
  • Install ICS systems, sensors, and equipment to deliver machine data to corporate applications.
  • Create documentation for handover to site automation teams.
  • Assist in the design and re-engineering of processes linking and supporting interdependencies.

My client is looking for an OT automation Specialist with some OT Cyber Security experience to assist them with an ongoing project in West Midlands, UK. This will be 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Must live in or around the West Midlands !

Cyber Security

Identify cyber security requirements and ensure they are factored into industrial network design

Work closely with the IT team and other external third parties to deliver the required infrastructure and security levels

Monitoring of site networks to identify vulnerabilities

Work alongside Group Supply Chain Cyber specialist and other site specialists to develop solutions to address CVE's

Operate within and support development of the IEC62443 Cyber Security Management

Be a member of the Cyber security and automation issue resolution team, including call out when the situation requires.

Be proactive in implementing continuous improvement with regard to Cyber security practices

Liaise with site Engineering Specialists to ensure that the defined technical cyber security requirements are implemented and maintained.

Support Networking issues within OT at sites, liaise with OEMs where required.

Work with IT SOC and site teams to resolve security Alerts

Experience needed:

Electrical Engineering Knowledge is a must.

Understanding of Process for Plant machinery

Technical understanding of Automation standards and technology

Work closely with Group and site teams to ensure standardisation of approach across all sites

Provide technical advice on implementation and industrial network configuration and automation standards

Industrial Network Design and implementation.

Installation of ICS systems, sensors and other equipment such as IPC devices and Data concentrator PLC's to deliver required machine data to corporate digital applications.

Create any required documentation for handover to site automation teams
