Summary: The Oracle/SQL Database Administrator role is focused on supporting Oracle and SQL Server databases within a secure environment, ensuring their performance, availability, and stability. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and tune Oracle & SQL Server databases
  • Manage incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Perform backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
  • Support HA/DR (e.g. AlwaysOn, Data Guard/RAC)
  • Ensure security and compliance in a secure environment

Key Skills:

  • Strong Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA experience
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise
  • Backup/restore and HA/DR knowledge
  • ITIL / managed service experience preferred

Oracle/SQL Database Administrator

Location: Manchester/Barrow - Hybrid 80% office & 20% home

Duration: 3 months contract (24/08/2026 to 20/11/2026)

Rate: £470 per day inside IR35

To be considered you must have active SC Clearance and be a a sole UK national

Role Description: DBA required to support Oracle and SQL Server databases within the Dragonfly secure environment, ensuring performance, availability, and stability of BAU services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and tune Oracle & SQL Server databases
  • Manage incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Perform backups, restores, patching, and upgrades
  • Support HA/DR (e.g. AlwaysOn, Data Guard/RAC)
  • Ensure security and compliance in a secure environment

  • Strong Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA experience
