Summary: The Oracle PL/SQL Developer role requires an experienced professional with over 12 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise database applications. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL programming, and SQL performance tuning, preferably within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, or Retail domains. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL programs, packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Develop high-performance SQL queries and optimize existing database objects for maximum efficiency.
- Design and implement scalable database solutions supporting enterprise applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical database solutions.
- Create and maintain database schemas, indexes, constraints, sequences, views, and materialized views.
- Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning using Explain Plan, SQL Trace, TKPROF, AWR, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Develop ETL processes for loading, cleansing, transforming, and validating large volumes of data.
- Build and maintain data migration, reconciliation, and data validation processes.
- Work closely with application developers to integrate Oracle database solutions with Java, .NET, or cloud-based applications.
- Develop batch processing and scheduling solutions using Oracle Scheduler, Shell Scripts, or Autosys.
- Support production deployments, troubleshoot performance issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Create technical documentation, database design documents, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, Architects, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
