Summary: The role of Oracle Finance Consultant involves leading the design, configuration, and delivery of Oracle Financials modules within a major Oracle Cloud ERP transformation programme. The consultant will work closely with finance stakeholders to ensure that the solutions meet business and audit requirements across a complex multi-entity environment. Key responsibilities include supporting end-to-end finance processes and producing functional documentation. The position requires strong experience in Oracle Cloud Financials and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and configuration of Oracle Financials including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and Expenses.
- Work with Finance stakeholders to map business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into Oracle Cloud solutions.
- Support end-to-end finance processes including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, and asset life cycle management.
- Produce functional documentation: solution designs, configuration workbooks, test scripts, and training materials.
- Support SIT, UAT, data migration validation, and cutover activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, reporting, and workflow requirements.
- Build and validate OTBI and BI Publisher reports for financial controls, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for all finance-related processes during and after implementation.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as an Oracle Finance Consultant, Financials Functional Consultant, or ERP Finance Lead.
- Hands-on configuration experience with Oracle Cloud Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM).
- Deep understanding of finance processes, accounting principles, and multi-entity structures.
- Experience delivering Oracle Cloud ERP within public sector, higher education, NHS, or large enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of subledger accounting, tax configuration, approvals, and financial controls.
