Summary: The Oracle ERP Technical Support Consultant role involves providing technical and functional support for Oracle ERP systems within the finance function of an insurance provider. The consultant will manage system configurations, security, and updates while ensuring effective data transfer and problem resolution. This position requires collaboration with various teams to implement changes and best practices in ERP functionalities. The role is hybrid, allowing for occasional travel to the client’s office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Oracle ERP from both technical and functional perspectives to support the finance function.
  • Design and configure Oracle ERP to meet business needs.
  • Support business financial processes and ensure system effectiveness.
  • Monitor and maintain Oracle systems for effective data transfer.
  • Handle problem and incident management on the Oracle platform.
  • Collaborate with Group IT for efficient change and issue resolution.
  • Engage in planning, scoping, and managing ERP deliverables.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and provide strategic guidance.
  • Establish best practices for Oracle platform support.
  • Liaise with Oracle Support for issue resolution and patch implementation.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with core financial modules (AP, AR, CE, FA, ICO, ASL, GL, ZX).
  • Experience with reporting tools (BI Publisher, OTBI, FRS).
  • Hands-on experience in supporting and configuring Oracle ERP for finance teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Understanding of systems integration and data flow.
  • Familiarity with data mapping, ETL, or middleware tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Familiarity with project delivery methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of Oracle quarterly updates and patching processes.
  • Experience with offshore or nearshore collaboration models.
