Summary: The role of Oracle ERP DBA involves supporting the DMAS accounting system and Oracle EBS, including database administration, security patching, and system upgrades. The position requires a candidate who can work remotely but must be located within a two-hour drive of Richmond, VA for occasional on-site meetings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle databases and APEX applications, as well as strong communication skills. Night and weekend work may be required for system maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the DMAS accounting system and Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR).
- Perform quarterly security patching and system/database upgrades.
- Resolve problems and deploy changes for Oracle APEX applications.
- Maintain Oracle databases and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and provide accurate effort estimates.
- Create technical documentation for processes and systems.
- Work independently and manage time effectively.
- Participate in night and weekend work as needed for patching.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Oracle Database & System Administrator to support the DMAS accounting system, Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR) and the 25 Oracle APEX applications and the underlying Oracle Databases. This includes quarterly security patching, system and database upgrades, problem resolution and deployments. This role requires knowledge of Oracle EBS and Oracle database features. Experience with applications developed using Oracle APEX versions 21and 24 and workflow features. This position may require some night and weekend work due to patching.
