Summary: The Oracle EBS DBA role involves providing technical support and maintenance for Oracle databases and the technical stack that supports Oracle E-Business Suite applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain Oracle databases and technical stack for Oracle E-Business Suite applications.
- Ensure production databases and applications are available, secure, and performing satisfactorily.
- Provide technical support for ongoing maintenance and service improvements of core applications.
- Administer Oracle EBS R12.2 application, including installation, configuration, cloning, and upgrades.
- Manage multi-node EBS environments and troubleshoot related issues.
- Perform database administration, maintenance, security implementation, and performance tuning for Oracle 19c.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and Oracle export/import utilities.
- Maintain multi-node Oracle RAC enabled databases and manage Oracle ASM and Oracle CRS.
- Automate tasks using PL/SQL packages, shell, and Perl scripts.
- Support Oracle ERP system integrations through administration of Oracle Enterprise Command Center, OBIEE, Oracle SOA Suite, and Oracle WebLogic Server.
- Utilize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Autonomous database management as needed.

The role
The EBS Database Support team are primarily responsible for supporting and maintaining Oracle databases and technical stack that underpins our clients Oracle E-Business Suite applications. The team's primary function is to ensure all production databases and applications are available, secure, and performing satisfactorily. You will provide technical support in ensuring the ongoing maintenance of, and develop service improvements to, our clients core applications.
Skills / Experience
Knowledge of Oracle EBS R12.2 application administration, including installation, configuration, cloning, and upgrades, using Oracle EBS Applications DBA (AD) utilities and other tools to apply patches and system updates. Knowledge of the multi-node EBS environments to administer Concurrent Managers, Parallel Concurrent Processing, and troubleshooting Workflow Mailer/Notification issues. Expert level knowledge of Oracle 19c database administration, maintenance, security implementation, upgrade and patching, database performance tuning, sizing and capacity planning, database backup and recovery on a Unix O/S using RMAN and Oracle export/import utilities, administration, and maintenance to provide backup and disaster recovery. Knowledge of installation, configuration, and maintenance of multi-node Oracle RAC enabled databases, including Oracle ASM and Oracle CRS management. Knowledge of PL/SQL packages, shell, and Perl scripts for task automation, and proactive database monitoring and notification using Oracle OEM Grid Control. Knowledge of administration and maintenance of the Oracle Enterprise Command Center(ECC), OBIEE, Oracle SOA Suite, and Oracle WebLogic Server to support Oracle ERP system integrations. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OIC and Autonomous database management advantageous. Experience from a similar support role in supporting business critical systems in a medium/large organisation.
