Summary: The Oracle EBS DBA role involves expert-level administration of Oracle EBS R12.2 applications and Oracle 19c databases, focusing on installation, configuration, and maintenance. The position requires diagnosing and resolving incidents, supporting team members, and ensuring the quality of technical deliverables throughout the development lifecycle. The DBA will also manage database security and provide out-of-hours support as needed. This is a 3-month contract based in Reading/Havant, with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Oracle EBS R12.2 applications, including installation, configuration, cloning, and upgrades.
- Manage Oracle 19c database administration, maintenance, and performance tuning.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents and problems related to Oracle applications and databases.
- Support team members and provide technical guidance and mentoring.
- Define and monitor the performance of supported systems.
- Implement configuration changes and support release and change management processes.
- Ensure quality assurance and validation of technical deliverables.
- Provide out-of-hours support as required.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and third parties.
- Manage access and security of client databases.
Key Skills:
- Expert knowledge of Oracle EBS R12.2 application administration.
- Proficient in Oracle 19c database administration and performance tuning.
- Experience with multi-node EBS environments and Oracle RAC databases.
- Knowledge of PL/SQL, shell, and Perl scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Autonomous database management.
- Experience in supporting business-critical systems in medium/large organizations.
- Strong problem-solving and incident management skills.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentoring.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
