Summary: The Oracle Developer role involves programming in Oracle PL/SQL for established financial systems within a hybrid work environment. The position requires collaboration with a team of developers on project work, as well as providing support and maintenance for applications. The developer will engage with business and IT teams to ensure timely delivery of changes while adhering to quality standards. This role is classified as inside IR35 and is for a 6-month contract based in Farnborough.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver changes to established financial applications in compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with a team of developers on project work, sharing ideas and completing code reviews.
• Support applications in the production environment, assisting with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Work from written specifications or JIRA stories to refine solutions independently.
• Collaborate with analysts to refine requirements and provide technical expertise.
• Write and maintain documentation within JIRA and Confluence.
• Communicate effectively with business and IT teams at various levels.
• Support DevOps providers in project and support activities.
• Ensure all development work is delivered on time and meets quality expectations.
• Adhere to BMW Group requirements and Agile Working Model standards.

Key Skills:

• Extensive programming experience in Oracle and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Experience with Windows client and server-based applications.
• Microsoft Visual Studio C# experience is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a team with shared code in a version control system.
• Initiative to identify and provide solutions in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills with programmers and analysts.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Windows client use.
• Demonstrable experience in IT with a track record in design and development.
