We are seeking an experienced Actively SC Cleared Oracle DBA to support a major data transformation and modernisation programme. This role will focus on the management, optimisation and migration of Oracle database environments, supporting cloud adoption initiatives and ensuring resilient, secure and high-performing data platforms.
You will work within agile delivery teams, providing hands-on expertise across Oracle 19c, AWS, AWS DMS, database migration, automation and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and review existing Oracle database environments, configurations and operational processes.
- Support database migration, upgrade and modernisation initiatives.
- Manage and optimise Oracle 19c database performance, availability and reliability.
- Design and implement secure, scalable database solutions within AWS environments.
- Support AWS DMS migration and replication activities.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database deployments and change management.
- Implement database monitoring, backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes.
- Support database security, governance and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders across delivery teams.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Strong experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Extensive experience administering and supporting Oracle 19c environments.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services and database deployments.
- Strong experience with AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS).
- Experience supporting database migration and modernisation programmes.
- Experience implementing CI/CD and database automation practices.
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning, optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Experience working within agile delivery environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Contract Details
- Engagement: £600 - £650/day (Outside IR35)
- Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
- Location: Primarily Remote with Occasional London/Sheffield Travel
