Summary: The role of Oracle DBA involves providing technical support and incident handling for a major telecommunications client in Sheffield. Key Responsibilities:
- Incident handling and change implementation in Oracle DB and MySQL Server.
- Provide effective technical support within Enterprise Cloud Services Infrastructure to meet customer KPIs and SLAs.
- Utilize and promote CI methodology to identify areas of waste and drive improvements.
- Troubleshoot technical faults within the Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across complex and matrix relationships.
Key Skills:
- Strong skills in Oracle DBA and a willingness to learn new database technologies.
- Knowledge of principles of backup and recovery.
- In-depth knowledge of the Networker Backup Product.
- Working knowledge of backup targets such as Data Domain or tape.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Problem-solving, performance, and root cause analysis skills.

We seek an Oracle DBA for or major Telecommunication client based in Sheffield.
Hybrid working.You will be incident handling and change implementation in one or more technical areas particularly Oracle DB & MySQL Server. You will be expected to provide effective technical support of the technology within Enterprise Cloud Services Infrastructure to meet customer KPI & SLA's. Use and promote CI methodology as a standard operating tool used by the team on a daily basis to identify areas of waste and drive improvements, delivering to the client's Values.
Profile:
- Oracle DBA Administrator: Strong skills in Oracle DBA and a learning acumen for new database related technology preferably in latest versions
- Troubleshoot technical faults within the Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure (Oracle DB/MySQL)
- Stakeholder Management: Able to collaborate and work effectively across complex and Matrix relationships, negotiating where needed to help support agreement.
Sought:
- Knowledge of Principles of Backup and Recovery
- In-depth knowledge of the Networker Backup Product.
