Summary: The role of Oracle Database Administrator involves taking ownership of critical enterprise database environments within a large-scale financial services programme. Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of critical enterprise database environments.
  • Lead P1/P2 incident resolution.
  • Improve resilience and observability of database systems.
  • Reduce technical debt within the database environments.
  • Mentor junior DBAs.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle 12c / 19c / 23ai RAC, Data Guard, ASM & RMAN.
  • Performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM & SQL Tuning Advisor.
  • HA/DR architecture design and failover management.
  • Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB) management.
  • Patching, upgrades & database security.
  • Experience in Linux, Solaris & AIX environments.
  • Exposure to AWS or IBM Cloud.
  • Additional knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL or DB2 is beneficial.

Oracle DBA | Coventry | Hybrid (2 Days Onsite) 6-12 Month Contract

We’re looking for a senior Oracle DBA to take ownership of critical enterprise database environments within a large-scale financial services programme. This is a hands-on, high-accountability role suited to someone comfortable operating as the final escalation point during major incidents.

Key experience required:

  • Oracle 12c / 19c / 23ai RAC, Data Guard, ASM & RMAN
  • Performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM & SQL Tuning Advisor
  • HA/DR architecture design and failover management
  • Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB)
  • Patching, upgrades & database security
  • Linux, Solaris & AIX environments
  • Exposure to AWS or IBM Cloud
  • Additional knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL or DB2 beneficial
