Summary: The Oracle Database Administrator role involves providing continuous support and maintenance for Oracle databases and the technical stack that supports Oracle E-Business Suite applications. The position requires expert knowledge in Oracle EBS R12.2 and Oracle 19c database administration, along with experience in multi-node environments and various Oracle tools. The role is a contract position based in Reading, England, with hybrid working arrangements and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain Oracle databases and technical stack for Oracle E-Business Suite applications.
  • Administer Oracle EBS R12.2 application, including installation, configuration, cloning, and upgrades.
  • Manage multi-node EBS environments, including Concurrent Managers and troubleshooting Workflow Mailer issues.
  • Perform Oracle 19c database administration, maintenance, security implementation, and performance tuning.
  • Implement database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Oracle export/import utilities.
  • Install, configure, and maintain multi-node Oracle RAC enabled databases and manage Oracle ASM and CRS.
  • Automate tasks using PL/SQL packages, shell, and Perl scripts, and monitor databases with Oracle OEM Grid Control.
  • Administer Oracle Enterprise Command Center, OBIEE, Oracle SOA Suite, and Oracle WebLogic Server.
  • Utilize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Autonomous database management as needed.
