Summary: The Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) role is a contract position based in London, requiring a hybrid working arrangement with three days on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Oracle databases, implementing high availability solutions, and performing migrations and upgrades. Fluency in French is essential, along with a strong technical background in Oracle technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating users and allocating appropriate table space with necessary privileges and roles for all databases.
- Implementing high availability solutions with Oracle RAC and managing physical and logical standby databases.
- Conducting Oracle migrations and upgrades (11g to 19c) on Linux platforms.
- Managing schemas, objects, and partitioning tables and indexes.
- Troubleshooting database issues and performance tuning.
- Understanding client business needs and providing practical solutions.
- Managing database capacity effectively.
- Handling database migrations from physical to Oracle Cloud.
- Coordinating Oracle Grid migrations and database split strategies.
- Utilizing PL/SQL for database management.
Key Skills:
- Fluency in French.
- Experience with Oracle RAC and high availability solutions.
- Proficiency in Oracle migrations and upgrades (11g to 19c) on Linux.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle technology architecture and real-time application clusters.
